But is it ever really enough?

For those that don't know, while I was born in Australia my parents are Italian and yes, I inherited those Italian genes.

That means, when catering or even just cooking for my family, I don't have that gene that tells me what the perfect amount to cook is. You know why? Because if you don't oversupply, you haven't cooked enough!!! That's why!!

The worst thing in the world is for your guests to go hungry, or to look longingly at an empty food bowl because you know, they really wanted some more but you didn't make enough.

At least when my kids were still little, I had an excuse for why I was cooking so much.

Now, it's just hubby and I and I still cook enough to feed the entire street.

Luckily we are both fans of leftovers. Me especially because it means I get the next night off cooking.

Tomorrow I'm having some family over for a bbq to celebrate my babies birthday's and I know, we're going to be eating meat all week!

But that's okay. That's exactly how I want it although even as I write this I'm thinking,

"What if it's not enough?"

There'll be about five kilo's of pork baby back ribs, 4kgs of wings, 18 continental sausages and 12 chevapcici.

Not to mention my Italian mother who is bringing spring rolls and melanzane parmigiana and probably more.

Plus there'll be side dishes, cakes AND how can we forget, tons of Prosecco!!! The great dancing potion!

I'd love to know your guess as to how many people we're catering for?
